Frequently Asked Questions

Key questions about GNPRI scoring, evidence, methodology, benchmarking and institutional participation.

Is GNPRI an IAEA ranking?

No. GNPRI is an independent analytical readiness index. It cross-references the IAEA 19 Infrastructure Issues but does not represent an IAEA rating or milestone determination.

How is the national readiness score calculated?

Evidence-supported indicator scores are combined using the approved indicator and pillar weights in the current published methodology.

How often is GNPRI updated?

Formal published assessments are controlled assessment cycles. Programme intelligence may be updated more frequently. It affects an assessment only when it is mapped into governed assessment evidence and processed through the assessment engine and assurance workflow.

How are disputes or institutional comments handled?

Approved institutions can use the GNPRI Institutional Portal for evidence requests, reviewer comments and formal Right of Reply workflows.

What does benchmarking mean?

Benchmarking provides context only. External records carry source and comparability labels and are not automatically converted into a national or regional ranking.
